4 Simple Ways to Be Happier

Happy friends on the beach

Quantum physics teaches us that our thoughts are vibrations of energy. They vibrate at a certain frequency that is drawn to and attracts elements that vibrate at the same frequency. Our thoughts are our main creative force in life so what you focus on you attract.

The mind is everything. What you think you become. – Buddha

Therefore when we want to be happy, draw positive events and things into our lives and create the life and business we want, we need to think in a positive way and feel the positive feeling in our body.

That is easy to say but sometimes it can be difficult to change a bad mood to a good one but I know a few tricks you can use :)

Trick 1 – Breathe

Next time you do not feel good notice your breath, chances are your breath is shallow. It is no secret that actors/actresses use their breath to cry on demand, and when we want to do the opposite and be happy we use a different way of breathing. Breathe very deeply and slowly and think about a smile traveling through your body with your breath.

Trick 2 – Raise your hands and look up

Research has indicated that our body language affects our state of mind. A sprint runner in the Olympics running first over the winning line is likely to raise his hand in a V shape and smile. With this posture people are showing pride and research has indicated that this is not a learned behavior but  an instinctive behavior because both blind people and people with vision do this. An open body language like this does affect the way we feel and by straightening up our body, opening up our posture, raising our hands, looking up and putting on a smile we can change our mood to a happy one.

Trick 3 – Shake it away

This is my favorite one and I learned it in a meditation course. Imagine you are connected with the earth beneath you (visualize roots coming from your feet and going deep into the earth) and you shake all your negative feelings down to the earth. Shake your hands, your feet and the whole body and imagine that the earth is happy to receive this negative energy to recycle it and make something beautiful out of it. If possible put on music that makes you feel happy, shake your body and notice the relief when the negative energy goes down to the earth.

Trick 4 – Share your happiness

A monk taught me this trick. When you have changed your mood and are happy, share your happiness with someone else, visualize that you are sending this positive energy to someone you love and it will increase you happiness.

Here you have it, simple tricks you can use to change your mood to a happy one and with this happy mood you can attract positive things into you life and create the life of your dreams.

I absolutely loved your article! I couldn’t agree more! I would like to add one trick that I have found helpful, if I may…I write down 10 things I am thankful for every day. This can be done first thing in the morning to get into a positive mind set for the day or before bedtime to reflect back on all the wonderful things that occurred during the day. Love the positive vibrations! Thank you for sharing your beautiful energy! Namaste! :)

    • Thank you for your kind comment Martyne, I appreciate it a lot.

Very good point, I agree with you, writing down what we are thankful for is an excellent way to have positive mindset.

Thank you for adding this trick to the list :)
